Toruń Gingerbread Museum in Toruń

Medals can be purchased at the ticket office!

The Museum of Toruń Gingerbread is the largest gingerbread museum in Europe, with the largest collection of wooden gingerbread moulds and the most extensive research into the history of gingerbread making in Toruń.

Here you will take a journey into the land of the senses, and here you will also be able to bake your own decorative gingerbread, which we hope will become the most beautiful souvenir of your visit to Toruń.

If you want to find out where the name of Toruń’s most famous gingerbread, ‘katarzynki’, comes from; what the former factory owner Gustav Weese has to say; or what you would look like in our virtual dressing room, dressed as a stallholder or factory owner? – visit us.

Our branch is located in the former 19th century gingerbread factory owned by the Weese family. What secrets does this place hold?

On the ground floor, when you cross the threshold, you will learn about the spices used to make gingerbread (e.g. cloves, aniseed, cardamom, honey, flour). You will also learn from which countries they came to Poland in the Middle Ages.
