The Shrine of Our Lady of the Scapular in Czerna

In Czerna near Krzeszowice there is the Baroque church of St. Elias and the monastery of the Discalced Carmelites. Next to the monastery church, built in 1631-40, there is a chapel dedicated to the memory of Blessed Father Rafał (Józef Kalinowski), a member of the National Council during the January Uprising in 1863, later a Siberian exile and finally a Discalced Carmelite in Czerna, beatified in 1983 by Pope John Paul II.
