Stockholm Palace

Stockholm Palace, or the Royal Palace, is a royal residence located by Norrström in the northern part of Gamla Stan (the Old Town) in Stockholm. The palace is the official residence of the Swedish monarch, and fortifications have stood on this site since the Middle Ages. The palace features 28 statues, 717 baluster figures in railings, and 242 scroll-shaped brackets. Stone covers 9,500 m² of the façade, and plaster covers 11,000 m². As of 2009, the palace comprises 1,430 rooms, of which 660 have windows.
