St Anne’s Church in Cracow

You can get your medals in the vestibule of the church!
One of the most beautiful Baroque buildings in Poland. Located in the neighbourhood of the Collegium Medicum and Collegium Maius, it is the academic church of the Jagiellonian University. Here you will find the confession of St John Kante containing the relics of the university’s patron saint. Inside the church there is a specific and unparalleled atmosphere.
Karol Wojtyła spent a lot of time here as a student, priest, bishop and cardinal, and – as he confessed – he often returned to this place in his mind and memory. Wojtyla drew a lot from Jan Kanty, a professor at the University of Krakow, whose sarcophagus is located inside the church.
