The Temple of the Sorrowful Queen of Poland is the central pilgrimage site in Kałków. It was built between 1983-1984. The two-level, single-nave church has two chapels with the presbytery facing north. The architecture and interior decor follow Baroque style. The upper temple is a place of worship for the Virgin Mary, featuring a copy of the image of the Sorrowful Queen of Poland from Licheń. Above the main altar stretches a canopy with a crown, symbolizing the royal homage due to Mary.
