Jasna Góra – a hill in Częstochowa with a monastery complex of the Pauline Order. It is one of the most important places of Marian devotion and for hundreds of years, the most important pilgrimage centre in Poland. Jasna Góra is home to the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa.

The Holy Father visited the place as many as six times, including during his first pilgrimage to Poland, which took place under the motto Gaude Mater Polonia on 4-6. 06. 1979.
