Medals available for purchase at the mountain hut!
The Five Ponds Valley Hut is the highest located mountain shelter in Poland (1,670 m above sea level). It offers 67 beds in rooms accommodating 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10 people. The hut features a large but very cozy dining room where you can enjoy meals from the hut’s kitchen or your own backpack provisions. This space also serves as an evening meeting place.
The kitchen offering full board, a snack bar with cold drinks, beer, and sweets, and the reception desk (where besides accommodation you can buy souvenirs, maps, and guidebooks) are open from 8 AM to 9 PM with a break between 10-11 AM. The hut also offers winter sports equipment and ski touring gear rentals.
Additional attractions include various courses and guided tours offered by our 5+ mountain tourism office. Guests are encouraged to use the book, game, and movie rental service. For those wanting to hike with lighter backpacks, we offer free luggage storage.
The exceptional high-mountain atmosphere of the hut is largely due to its unique location in the heart of the High Tatras. Many trails lead here, but none are accessible by vehicle. The hut can only be reached on foot via mountain trails, making its guests true mountain hikers who create this unique and special atmosphere.
