The best way to reach Żar Mountain (761 m above sea level), known as the pilots’ mountain, is by funicular railway. At its summit, you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Beskid Mountains panorama including the Soła River gorge, as well as a charming and picturesque vista with numerous artificial lakes. Near the upper station of the funicular, you’ll find a technical curiosity – an open water reservoir of the pumped-storage power plant covering 14 hectares, along with other tourist attractions.
