Pier in Sopot

Medals available at the ticket office to the pier!
The pier in Sopot is one of Poland’s most popular recreational facilities.
It consists of two parts:
– a wooden section 51.5 m long
– a land section covering 20,000 m², bordered by semicircular arcades and terraces of the Spa House.
The land section features a historic fountain and an observation tower that also serves as a lighthouse.
The first wooden pier was built in 1827 by Dr. Jerzy Haffner, a military doctor of Napoleon’s army and founder of the spa resort.
The current shape of the structure was established during its reconstruction in 1928.
