Medals available in the main hallway!

The Museum of the Silesian Uprisings in Świętochłowice was established by a resolution of the Świętochłowice City Council (No. XXI/257/12) on July 18, 2012.

Its scope of activity includes the protection of all tangible and intangible heritage related to the history of the Silesian Uprisings, as well as the history of the city of Świętochłowice.

The institution was created in line with the latest museum trends as a narrative museum, presenting both original exhibits and replicas, allowing visitors direct contact with historical objects.

Through multimedia elements and a leading film narrative, visitors are fully immersed in the realities of life in early 20th-century Upper Silesia. The scenography of the rooms reflects the locations of the most important events. For more inquisitive visitors, multimedia stations are available, allowing for individual deepening of knowledge. This method of presenting historical materials enables a modern, comprehensive, and engaging approach. The youngest visitors will find interactive multimedia elements that help deepen historical knowledge through intellectual play.

The Museum of the Silesian Uprisings is located in a historic building at 1 Polaka Street.
