Situated in the heart of Lidzbark Warmiński, a town for centuries referred to as the Pearl of Warmia. Fairytale-like in its location at the fork of the Łyna and Symsarna rivers, Hotel Krasicki**** is the historic pre-castle residence of the Bishops of Warmia – the most valuable visible testimony to the history of Warmia and Mazury. The elegant rooms and suites of the Gothic and Baroque parts of the hotel are stylistically reminiscent of the original aesthetics of the building. Their names are reminiscent of the guests of Lidzbark castle: King Leszczynski, Sigismund III Vasa, John Sigismund Hehenzollern, Tsar Paul I of Romanov… They used to indulge in pleasures of body and soul – admiring nature, observing the Warmian sky, drinking exquisite wine, listening to concerts, debating, reading… Today, our guests do the same. There are 122 rooms providing a total of 250 beds.
The CAFE LIBRARY and the ASTRONOMIC OBSERVATORY are unique. The extensive book collection invites you to carefully selected literature from all over the world. A book with a cup of coffee or the favourite of the ‘Prince of Poets’ – hot chocolate – definitely tastes special. The astronomical observatory, located in the clock tower and open to the public, is a tribute to the creator of the heliocentric theory, the eminent astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, who once resided at the Castle. The VIEW TERRACE on the tower allows you to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lidzbark Warmiński and its surroundings.
