Kamieńczyk Shelter in Szklarska Poręba

Medals available at the shelter!
The “Kamieńczyk” Shelter is located at an altitude of 840 m above sea level, next to the highest waterfall in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains—the Kamieńczyk Waterfall (27 m high).
The waterfall is the most frequently visited tourist spot in Szklarska Poręba and one of the biggest attractions in Lower Silesia. It can be admired from viewing terraces or from the base after descending into a picturesque gorge up to 30 m deep.
From here, you can also enjoy views of the Izera Mountains.
The shelter is an excellent base for hiking trails:
Szrenica – 1 hour
Lower chairlift station to Szrenica – 20 min
Nearest parking by the international road – 20 min
Szklarska Poręba town center – 30 min
Mountain hiking border crossing to the Czech Republic – 50 min
Road border crossing to the Czech Republic (Jakuszyce) – 6 km
In Jakuszyce, you’ll find beautiful cycling and cross-country skiing trails (Piastów Race), and near Szrenica, a complex of snow-covered downhill slopes serviced by a lift system.
The first private mountain shelter built after World War II by Janina and Jerzy Sielecki in 1997.
It is located on the main trail to Szrenica and serves as a great starting point for hikes and bike trips into the higher parts of the Karkonosze. Nearby, there are many downhill and cross-country skiing trails.
We offer 19 sleeping places in double and triple rooms.
Guests have access to a buffet and a fireplace lounge.
Next to the shelter, there is a spacious hut with a bonfire and a bar, where you can buy and grill sausages, enjoy a beer, relax, and unwind after a long hike…
We organize outdoor events (regardless of the weather).
