Europe’s largest wooden structure for evaporating brine, part of the technological line for the production of Ciechocinek food-grade salt as well as sludge and medicinal lye.

The brine graduation towers are three impressive structures arranged in the shape of a horseshoe, with a total length of 1,741.5 metres and a height of 15.8 metres. The structure of the graduation towers consists of nearly 7,000 oak piles, on which a spruce and pine structure filled with blackthorn was placed. The graduation tower complex was built between 1824-28 (graduation towers No. 1 and 2) and 1859 (tower tower No. 3) according to a design by Professor Jacob Graff.

The viewing terraces on the graduation towers with a beautiful view of the spa area of Ciechocinek and its surroundings offer the possibility to relax on the deckchairs and benches provided. It is here that you can observe the cycle of the graduation tower: wooden troughs distributing brine along the facility and water trickling down the graduation tower, which in the process of concentrating its salt content releases healing aerosols.
