Ziębice, located on the upper course of the Oława River, at the southern end of the Henryków Basin and the southern edge of the Niemcza-Strzelin Hills, is an old charming Silesian town with preserved historical layout that captivates with its historic architecture and landscape.

The town’s oldest monument is the Minor Basilica – the Church of St. George – Sanctuary of the Lord’s Passion, created by combining an early Gothic two-nave hall from 1265-75 with a late Gothic three-nave presbytery from 1477-1504.
