Guardians of Ancient Heritage

We serve as custodians of the prehistoric and protohistoric communities of the Małopolska region, acting as a bridge between ancient societies and the modern world.

Archaeological heritage consists of interconnected material, spiritual, and social elements. The museum collects not only movable artifacts but also information about immovable sites—caves, burial mounds, hillforts—and the cultural and natural environment of past peoples.
