The Arboretum was established in 1975. It is one of Poland’s valuable natural and cultural heritage sites, serving multiple functions as a natural, cultural, educational, and scientific facility. Ancient trees, remnants of former castle gardens, create picturesque accents among new plantings that include exotic species, native trees and shrubs, as well as rare, endangered, and protected plant species. The Arboretum also features sculptures – willow artworks created during the International Art Workshops “Willow in the Arboretum”.
