Zoological Garden of Cracow

Medals available for purchase at the bar before entering the ZOO and at the outdoor dining area near the mini-zoo!

Kraków Zoological Garden is one of the favorite recreational spots for Kraków residents. It welcomes about 250,000 visitors annually. The zoo has a unique, intimate character. Well-maintained greenery surrounds the enclosures, enhancing aesthetics and creating comfortable conditions for visitors to relax.

The zoo is located in the heart of Wolski Forest, the largest green enclave on the map of Kraków. It belongs to the group of municipal forests – serving as a natural woodland park.

Wolski Forest not only functions as “Kraków’s green lungs” but also serves as a year-round recreational base for city residents and tourists. Situated on hills forming the southeastern range of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, it stretches across the western part of the city, about 8 km from the center.

The zoo features a mini-zoo – a space created especially for the youngest visitors. Here, children can have close contact with young animals. They can pet and feed (with food provided by staff) miniature ponies, dwarf rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, dwarf goats, donkeys, and llamas. Visitors can observe funny Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs up close and make friends with neighboring Chinese muntjacs.
