Snow White TV Tower

The television tower is located on Mount Snezhanka (from snyag – “snow”) in the Rhodope Mountains and is the most recognizable symbol of the Pamporovo resort. Construction of the 156-meter tower began in 1973, designed by renowned engineer Ivan Yantakhov, and was completed and put into operation five years later.

The structure has a cylindrical shape with two rings:

The upper ring (at 93 meters) houses a panoramic observation deck and a café, offering 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains.

The lower ring contains the technical equipment responsible for transmitting television signals across the Rhodope region.
