Krems an der Donau Railway Station
Krems an der Donau station is a through station and railway junction in Lower Austria’s central region. It serves as the terminus of an electrified branch line of the Franz-Josefs-Bahn (opened in 1872, electrified in 1982) and the starting point of non-electrified routes to St. Pölten Hauptbahnhof (opened in 1879) and into the Wachau Valley (Donauuferbahn, opened in 1909). It also marks the western boundary of the VOR (Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region) transport network.

The station has two platforms (main and island platform) divided into five platform sectors:
Platforms 2A/3A: Trains to Vienna and Kamptalbahn (Absdorf-Hippersdorf)
Platforms 1A/11: Trains to Horn and Sigmundsherberg
Platforms 1B/2B/21: Formerly served the discontinued Donauuferbahn (Spitz, Emmersdorf, St. Valentin)
Platforms 3B/21: Trains to St. Pölten Hauptbahnhof
