Welcome to the Xantus János Zoo!
Our zoo’s mission is to showcase the wonders of nature to people—especially children—and raise awareness about the threats endangering their survival. We actively participate in the global community working to protect nature by helping to save endangered animals, plants, and habitats. At the same time, we offer opportunities for pleasant recreation, learning, and family fun.

In addition to animal exhibits, the zoo also serves as a venue for various cultural and sporting events, as well as educational activities.
This makes the zoo especially attractive for families—as one of the best destinations for a family outing.

With our newly updated website, we aim to give you a little taste of the life inside our zoo. This way, our local visitors can better get to know their beloved zoo, while those “surfing in” from farther away may be inspired to visit us in person.
